Rethinking Video Email Attachments
Looking through last month’s email, I saw a disturbing trend. I’m getting too many emails with the same video attachment. It was like everyone participated in a chain letter that said if you don’t forward this funny video to twelve friends, we’ll cut your bandwidth. Last week, I had 200 + MBs of unsolicited video attachments in email. Rather than annoying friends or their coworkers, we’ve got another way to handle these items. The time it takes for this method is half the time it would take for a 56k dial up user to get a 4MB email attachment. You do know how long that is, right?
